Leland Prebble was born in Lansing, MI in 1952 the second of four boys to a GM factory worker and a homemaker. Prebble later moved with his family to Dansville, MI where he graduated from Danville Public Schools in 1970.

After graduation, he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Education from Spring Arbor University in 1976, where he paid his own way working many jobs to afford college.

Prebble owned and operated his own construction business in Jackson County for over thirty years. He also owns a number of rental properties in Spring Arbor and surrounding areas with his wife, Carolyn.

Leland and his wife Carolyn live in Spring Arbor Township and they attend the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church. Leland is very active in leading mission trips on behalf of the church.
